Bird Watching in Aurora [0003]: Song Sparrow

The above photo of the song bird is just a reminder how green summer we had this year in Aurora, 2009. I don't know if any one noticed, but I have not seen any water bans in Aurora either. As a matter of fact we had nice average not to hot summer which also kept our air conditioner not doing much work. And does any one remember a crazy thunder storm that knocked out power lines on Bayview? Some of us lost power for about 10 hours as a result. During that time I also saw ball lightning over our house, which is a rare phenomena.
Almost end of the November, and weather is not too bad. Hopefully it will be like that for another few weeks, however, I wouldn't mind to have a white Christmas. Nothing like nice cup of tea, warm blanket and looking out the window to see our Earth being covered in the furry white blanket of its own.
This photo was taken near by the Hamilton Playground in Aurora. Seems like some new trees are sprouting there where once we had invasion of Canada thistle [Cirsium].

This summer left me feeling water-logged, and my rainbarrel, finally installed was always overfull. I didn't see a single brown lawn either.
Pretty song sparrow, I usually only see their tiny silhouettes up high in the roadside trees.
Really like your photos, Anna. Simple, but subtlely evocative. BarrytheBirder
